Dedicated to Serving Our Community

“With 33 years of experience enforcing criminal and civil law, including management and supervision, I am committed to bringing genuine leadership back to Precinct 7. My goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of our community with integrity, dedication, and transparency.”

Overview

I am honored to bring my 33 years of law enforcement experience to serve our community, and I am committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the residents of Precinct 7.

On this website, you will find information about my background, my vision for the future, and the key priorities that guide my work.

Priority Issues

There are many issues facing our community, but as your Constable, I have identified several key priorities that I believe require immediate attention.

01
Quality of service

In Tarrant Country, the Constable's Office's priority is to enforce civil law and serve civil process papers. Due to the demographics of our precinct, including the unincorporated area of Tarrant County, we are called upon to assist the Sheriff's Office with calls for service. We also serve arrest warrants, enforce traffic laws, and file criminal cases.

The Constable's Office generates revenue from the service fees collected for serving civil process papers. These fees can add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and relieve the burden on taxpayers when it comes time to fund the budget.

I will be committed to serving our citizens, keeping them safe, and providing quality and efficient service when serving civil process papers.

02
Community Safety

Our country is currently facing a crisis with open borders and the presence of fentanyl in our communities. We don't know the long-term challenges our government has placed on the American people. If elected Constable, I am dedicated to establishing strong relationships with local agencies to effectively respond to emergency situations. Furthermore, I am committed to ensuring that our deputies receive the necessary training and equipment to maintain public safety.

In 2022, while serving as Chief Deputy at Precinct 7, I encountered equipment issues, including the need for replacement Tasers and body cameras. Working collaboratively with other Chief Deputies from different precincts, we successfully secured funding through our budget to purchase new Tasers and body cameras for our deputies.

03
Transparency and accountability

Maintaining the community's trust is important, and if elected, I will create a hiring board to assure the citizens that we are hiring the best candidates for the office based on merit, experience, education/training, and a thorough background investigation.

I will be dedicated to improving our office's overall efficiency and maintaining an open line of communication with the public.

My Law Enforcement Career

I have been in public service since August 1991, starting at the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, where I spent nearly 22 years. In June 2013, I transitioned to the Tarrant County Constable’s Office, rising to the rank of Chief Deputy before retiring in January 2023. Currently, I serve as a Police Officer with Mansfield ISD, focusing on the safety of students.

Beginning as a Confinement Officer in 1991, I graduated from the Police Academy in November 1992 and later became a Deputy Sheriff. Throughout my career, I served in various capacities, including the Courts Division, Patrol, and Narcotics, where I was a K9 Narcotic Investigator. I spent 12 years as a member of the Sheriff’s SWAT Team, participating in high-risk warrant operations.

Notable achievements in my career include receiving a Commendation Bar in 2001 for drug-related work with my K9 partner, being named Deputy of the Year in 2007, and earning a promotion to Sergeant in 2008. In 2012, I completed 120 hours of Management and Supervision training at the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration and hold a Master’s Peace Officer License with over 2400 hours of training.

With 33 years of public service experience, I am the most qualified candidate for Constable of Precinct 7. I appreciate your consideration and the opportunity to continue serving the community in this capacity. If you have any specific questions or anything else you’d like to know, please feel free to ask.
